The adventure begins with a scenic pick-up from your Port Vila accommodation. Following a transfer along Efate’s west coast, you’ll board a boat for a short ride to Nguna Island. Upon arrival, embark on your chosen half-day walk, catering to different interests and fitness levels.
Trekking Options
Please Note: You must choose your desired walk (Volcano Walk, Environment Walk, or Village Walk) before departure.
- Volcano Walk: Challenge yourself with a climb to the summit of Mt. Marou (472m), one of Nguna’s extinct volcanoes. Be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views across the Shepherd Islands and Efate. (Steep sections, approximately 3.5 hours)
- Environment Walk: Perfect for families, this 3-hour walk explores a community conservation area near Nguna’s smallest village. Discover a captivating blend of ancient forest, historical relics, and vibrant community gardens.
- Village Walk: Opt for a leisurely village exploration, tailored to your fitness level. Choose between exploring an upland or a coastal village, immersing yourself in the local lifestyle.

What You Need to Know
- Tour available on Mondays and Wednesdays, or for groups on request.
- Departure between 6.30AM & 7AM depending on accommodation pick up
- Drop off around 4.30PM
- Minimum of 2 participants, maximum of 15 participants.
- Not available for children under 6 years old.
