This four day all inclusive guided canoeing tour is for active people. Encounter the beauty of these pristine waters, the marine life, and hospitality of the people of the small islets of the Maskelynes. Paddle in a traditional outrigger-canoe on a journey around the islands; go snorkeling to see giant clams, an array of colourful marine species, dolphins, turtles and if you are lucky the elusive ‘Sea Cow’ or dugong!

Itinerary:

Day 1: Truck transfer pick up from Lamap Airport to Lamap landing point. Meet your guide and start your outrigger canoe experience by paddling past beautiful Gaspard Bay – if you are lucky you may see the resident Dugongs! Continue canoeing around the west coast to the south of Sakao Island. Then walk to the ‘Garden of Eden’ on the north side of the island collecting fruit for refreshments along the way. Lunch at North Sakao where you can swim and then walk back around the west coast to the camp collecting mud crabs for dinner on the way.

Day 2: Paddle to south west to Urereke Island past Liyghos and birth in the beach to have a Melanesian Feast lunch with the local villagers. After lunch paddle again south to Vulvai Island where you will camp and have the opportunity to swim and snorkel on beautiful white coral sand beaches.

Day 3: Breakfast and then paddle north to a secret and pristine snorkeling spot in between all of the islands where you can see a most magnificent array of marine creatures just outside the reef. Then paddle a short distance east to Volombau Island to stay at seaside Malog Bungalows in Peskarus where you can shower and relax with your own bungalow bed-room by the water.

Day 4: Tide dependent you will have an morning or afternoon snorkel at fantastic ‘Ringi Te Sui’- The Giant Clam Gardens before catching the boat back to Lamap landing to transfer a short distance to Lamap Airport.

Health/Fitness Requirements:
This tour is in a remote location (access to medical support would be delayed) – therefore participants should be healthy and able to share paddling over the 4-day period.
